Winter Storm Incoming

WEATHER ALERT DAY officially declared for Today (Saturday) – Monday for accumulating snow, high winds creating drifting and blowing snow and rapidly dropping temperatures Saturday night bringing icy travel conditions Saturday Night and continuing likely into Monday.

All of Southern Indiana is under a Winter Storm WARNING which will kick in as early as 12pm CST for areas like Evansville and 1pm EST for areas like Seymour and North Vernon and that will last well into the night Saturday. Per the NWS the alert has accumulations of 3-6 inches of snow for all areas in the Warning which would be all of Southern Indiana.

Notice on the alert map within this post that almost all 92 counties in Indiana are included in the Winter Storm WARNING there is only 5 counties not included and I would not be surprised if those counties get added eventually.

Bottom line IF you do not have to be on the road Saturday Night, Sunday and Monday then do your best to not be as travel will be dangerous especially with high winds blowing snow around reducing visiblities along with patches of ice on area roadways this is especially as the temperatures rapidly drop through the overnight Saturday.

Please Stay Tuned for Updates and Be Safe During this time of bad weather!
